well, i'm back in classes for the first time in three years-- my time surprisingly taken up, but my hands surprisingly not very full. i guess the rigors of art school were much more intense than the rigors of a normal university. hrm.
but my time is now spent at the sewing machine instead of the easel (something i don't really mind). i only wish i had a little more time to paint.
hand problems also abound and i think i will have to have more surgery before the year is out because the old cyst (and a new cyst) have appeared and are causing trouble. my apparel construction teacher said if i couldn't use my hand she'd find someone to cut my patterns out for me. XD
school is very encouraging and just two weeks in my professors are telling me i have great potential and amazing talent. and i know these people aren't just patting me on the head because i am the daughter of the math/science/engineering dean (most of them don't even know); they are judging me solely on my personality and my work, and it makes my spirit soar to think i really have a chance at going somewhere with this.
