The Subspace Suitcase

here's the details of my subspace suitcase, based of course on the character Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim by Brian Lee O'Malley.

it was quite a challenge because i had to start completely from scratch, make a pattern, try stuff out, and eventually (finally) cut out and put together all my pieces. but it's really solid and looks super legit, i'm really proud of how it all came out.
the star is cut-out of the canvas with the other fabrics layered underneath (the edges are frayed and it's really cool), it's lined with a really funky punky checkered fabric, and the strap has a parachute buckle as a fun detail-- for detachment, and adjustment!
